Today it is rainy and wind, gusts up to 50 miles per hour. We are cleaning, straightening bookshelves, I have to grocery shop, move the furniture in the tv room and deep clean, clean the bathroom.... The kids have to clean their play room, then they'll be free to play with friends, and they can play with play dough and if I'm really luck we can go to the craft store and stock up on the winter crafts to keep us all busy this winter.

Sorry to be the lone voice of cheer, but it is 60 degrees and sunny here in central Missouri. I have no children but a Pomeranian, and we will be going out shortly to enjoy the lovely weather! Tomorrow it is supposed to be 70 degrees. I feel as if we must enjoy this while it lasts, because soon it will be nasty outside. It has been raining here for almost a week before this. Rained out the World Series game the other night.

58F and windy, just rained yesterday......
My son is 13 months old and then his dads brother is 5. What I did was buy them books, printer paper, washable markers, blocks, and snacks. Since there is alot of cars at home that they can play with the 5 yr old makes bridges and plays like that while my son plays with the WASHABLE markers.....When they get tired of doing that I read to them, than later on we watch a movie, on DVD and sometimes we will go to the mall just to have a change in sencery. All I can really say is keep the doing something all the time and remember that they are never to old for naps, that way when they wake up in the middle of the after noon they will be ready to play..
One more thing that I would suggust is that if your kids are old enough and Halloween just around the corner search the web for fun recipes, and crafts that you could do together......

I live in Arizona, it's always nice and sunny. Yesterday we went to a train park in Scottsdale for our Mom's club Halloween party. They got to wear their Halloween costumes and ride the train. It was very fun!
Since it got a little cooler, we've been going to the zoo almost every week
