Because our society has become so politically correct that people are to afraid of being called racist. The fact is our economy can not support the amount of people that come over here on a daily basis. The days of Ellis island and instant citizenship are over our country is established and now is not being given a chance to thrive all because people can just claim racism and exploitation and get away with it.

You have a perfectly Legitimate Question. The problem is that ruling class has been stealing and investing their money outside of Mexico for a long time and they kept common people like a sheep herd. Now when a leftist government will come to power these people[Rich] will run to US or Spain. The other reason is that They are interested to send these people to United states because they send back American dollars and these dollars eventually ends up in the hands of rich.It is high time that they start to take care of their own people.

Your right.....Mexico is a very rich country, and there are many, many very wealthy Mexicans living there that would never dream of moving over here. Most of the Mexicans you see crossing illegally are very poor and uneducated, and unfortunately the Mexican government and those wealthy Mexicans are NOT too interested in helping the poor. I blame the corrupt Mexican govenrment and the greedy American companies who will always hire illegal immigrants.....but as far as the fence goes it's election time and will never get built.

I agree 100%.
The people of Mexico need to go back across that border and take back their country.
This is a country with immense wealth and a colorful history. It has just been taken over by the greedy drug dealers.
Take back Mexico! Take back Mexico!

Yes but when it arises that people agree with deportation, no amnesty and the fence,
They are told they are discriminating or being racist.

Mexico does need to be held accountable. People also have to stop pointing the finger and calling racism, bigotry, hatred and discrimination. Every legal citizen has the right to their own opinion, but to slur or slander someone because of their opinion is stupid.

yes, Mexico is the richest latin country.

they have oil and tourism and people power and cheap labor.

with money and cheap labor what couldn't they do???

human rights is one reason we should build the fence 2,000 miles long the whole border.

we aren't keeping Americans in we're keeping mexicans out. when i want to leave the country, i don't crawl on my belly through some sewage drain pipe to get out of the country!

if, illegal aliens want in the country, they will have to do it legally!!!

Your right, its not our problem, they have a country of their own and we have nothing to do with their problems. Its their responsibility to take care of their own citizens, not ours. We don't want them and I can't imagine any other country in the world welcoming with open arms illegal immigrants that drain their economy, not to mention they are coming in by the millions

Good idea. Bush should talk to the new Mexican president about these immigration issues. He broke off discussion with Vincente Fox a few years ago.

its because many of them believe in the MECHA movement, believing, like how vicente fox said "the borders of mexico extend far beyond its present boundaries", the mayor of LA is also a member of it, as is lt. gov. of california cruz bustamante. they want to reclaim the American southwest for mexico, and this low level invasion is the way to do it.
