OK. The first thing you need to do is calm down. If your cat is an indoor cat and never been outside, chances are she is hiding somewhere nearby scared (all the new sights and smells and people etc.). Your own panic will not help. Go get a really smelly cat food like tuna or salmon (in can), get a can opener, go out to your backyard and call your cat while you open the can of cat food. To add to the attraction, hit the can with a fork or spoon to make "tin-can" noises. Your cat has been out for 2 days and must be really hungry. If your cat does not come the first time you do this, do it again an hour or so later. Don't give up hope. Cats tend to know where they live and will almost always come back home when they are hungry.
I'll pray your kitty comes home soon, darling.

Okay calm down, there is no need for panic yet. A couple of days isn't really that long, sometimes cats can disappear for months and then suddenly show up. Either way it takes a week before they get brave and start moving around. If it is a indoor cat and not much outside it probably is hiding under a log or building right now and when it gets comfortable it will stray out and to the door. A little less than a week is about how long they are going to stand it without food. It knows where the food is and will be back for some. Hold on and go outside with a cup of food and shake it while calling for her. If she is near this may be enough for it to forget its fears and come out looking for a bite. POOR KITTY, I hope you find her!!! GOOD LUCK I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU!

don't worry sweety I think the cat will come back. Put some food and water outside both doors if you have more than one. Is your cat a boy or a girl. Boys tend to wander longer and further than girl cats. but cats always come home. Just keep putting out food and calling her and put up some signs in your neighbor hood about a lost cat with your phone number on it . May be some one brought the cat in out of the cold. Or he or she might have a boy friend or girl friend keep your chin up and keep calling and put up ;the signs and you will soon have kitty back home. Good luck and God bless Debbie

That is very sad. I"m about to cry myself. But ask you neighbors have they seen her and put up lost cat ads and if you don't have a picture just put a description and give out a reward so people really look for it. Also to tell you that cats come back to their home. I learned this after my aunt, who was a very mean person took the cat Shadow and left her on the side of the highway. But wasn't it weird that the cat was back a few days later. She found her way home. I was shocked after I was told this story, but it wasn't a suprise because my aunt would do so many wrong things i can't even name them all. even to her kids!!

This happened to me when i was bout 13, but i couldnt find my cat, so ill try my best 2 help
1. If the cat has been outside for most of its life, then it would eventually come back
2.Alot of animals run off like this when they are in heat
3. there isnt a very good chance that a dog would eat her,(lived with dogs my whole life)
4.If your cat was stuck in a tree, someone wouldve have heard it meowin' or somethin'

Take a walk around the few blocks surrounding your house and keep calling for her. Leave smelly, stinky canned food outside for her, shake her favorite treat can all day, put up flyers...just keep calling for her, looking for her and let your local animal control know you lost your kitten.
In the future, keep her indoors. To keep her healthy, this is best, along with spaying her and having her UTD on all vaccines. There are too many dangers outdoors including: kitty-nappers, dogs, wild animals, cars, mean people... ESPECIALLY with Halloween right around the corner, a kitten (especially black cats) are great for those sick one who sacrifice them. When you find her, keep her inside, please.

Go door to door and ask your neighbors if they have seen her. Put up posters all around your neighborhood. Check with your animal control offices. Call your radio stations and ask them if they offer lost/found pet ads. Good luck, I really hope you find your kitty.

you need to get your cat fixed as it might be gone forever now. put up posters saying it is lost and all you can about it.cats like to wander and get lost if they are not fixed. next time get a harness for it and take it for walks let it get to know it's territory
