Go to the drug store, health store, or even supermarket and buy some L-Lysine tablets. They are not expensive and start taking them daily. Take a few extra, like 2 in the morning and 2 at night at first, then after you seen they are working, cut back to one a day with your multivitamins(you must be taking them?) The Lysine seems to works on most skin outbreaks in EVERY part of your body. Good luck and remember this advice later when you get a coldsore.

Abreva, Releev, and a few other OTC products work. You can save a lot of money and put some alcohol on a Q-tip and rub the surface as hard as you can stand it for a few seconds. HURTS LIKE HECK, but this is pretty much the same as the $10-20 products mentioned above. You might also want to get some OraJel or other benzocaine 20% product. Rub that one the sore first and after a couple of minutes, do the alcohol rub. You can also apply some benzocaine before a meal if it really hurts to eat.
You can also rinse with Maalox before a meal. (yuck) You can spit it out, though, instead of swallowing it. It coats them and helps relieve some of the pain.

My mom always told me to use saltwater to get rid of sores. The salt helps heal them. Swish saltwater around your mouth for 30 seconds twice a day every day untill the sores are gone.

if it's canker sores and you have more than 2-3 you need to see a dr--this could be a sign of something wrong--like diabetes. as for the sores--rinse your mouth with salt water (one tsp salt to one cup warm water). Yes it will hurt like crazy for a little bit then it will calm down for a while. if it persists or gets to the point you can't eat see a doc. I was given the med valtrex and it made the cankers go away overnight. some of the otc meds work also. the beat is orabase-b. another home remedy is to mix one tsp of benadryl liqued with one tsy kaopectate--the stuff for diarrhea--together, swish in your mouth and SPIT it out. this coats the sores and numbs them for a while. good luck

Those sores in your mouth could simply be canker sores, or worse. This oral sex thing has spawned new problems in society. Herpes of the mouth is more and more common today than it's ever been, thank you bill clinton!
You need to see a doctor, these problems come and go, but when they come they are contagious. In either case, I urge you to avoud oral sex and deep throat kissing, not so much to protect you but your partner.

If these are cold sores, then they are caused by a virus. There is nothing you can do. It will take about 14 days for them to run their course. You can use products such as Chlorseseptic to sooth them. If you have had these for more that 14 days, see a doctor. This is not normal.
