I only speak few words in Italian but besides the advice from the first response (which is good), I would say it's better to say Il mio capelli é marrone, since Italian is very similar to spanish and the articles as well as adjectives are changed according to gender.

Why not try talking about the region your family is from...they are from Italy right?
Also try simple conversational phrases. IE. If your family is from tuscany you could name your project Under the Tuscan Sun and draw a sun at the top of the poster and then make a family tree and explain the italian side of your family that way! Good Luck!

hi my hair is brown translates, ho i capelli castani ( i have brown hair) or I miei capelli sono castani ( we don't say marrone when we refer to hair)

hope it helps

what short refers to? I mean if you want to say this person has short hair it's questa persona ha i capelli corti
but if you want to say this person is short then it's
questa persona è bassa

i'm italian so if you need further help just ask!!!

"ciò è me "could be a nice tittle for your presentation, it means "This is me."
And you have to write il mio capelli e marrone, because capelli is masculin in italian. Good luck with your work.
