Today is my birthday and i was going to spend the day with the guy i'm dating and currently we're both pretty much broke. Mine because of some recent medical expenses and he because he got laid off from work a bit ago.
We had planned to go to a cheap convention this morning but i was told yesterday i needed to work this morning for a deadline and missed the convention.
What are some good ideas that dont cost too much for us to go do?
I'm looking for more fun than anything, neither of us are vrey romantic so please nothing like that.
He is 21 i am 20 so i can't go drinking either :)

Join the club! I never have money around my birthday. I am happy to have a nice dinner, movie at home, and a piece of cake. Spending time in the quiet with the man I love is better than anything else I can think of anyway.

My wife and I are fond of walking around the local park. It does not cost anything except the gas to get there. Also you could check the newspapers for free or inexpensive events.

Watch TV and drink lots of water and pretend to be drunk. It's as much fun as the real thing without the bad side effects.

It sounds to me l ike that it is your birthday,he should be the one making thse plans. A long walk in the park is always nice though.
