No. It'll be a great day when schools have all the money they need and the Air Force can still buy a bomber because we're not wasting billions of dollars on pointless wars to make oil barons richer.

NO, because w/o those AirForce bombers, and all those "evil" defense contracts that hippies whine about the odds are good that this country would fall, and those schools would be closed.
This country put people on the moon using the brains of people raised in the age of the one room school house so don't tell me that money = progress in schooling.

"overblown sense of the enemys abilitys"?!! the chinese have the resources and funding to amass an army more than twice the size of your population! and dont even think nukes will save you, all that would do is take everyone with you.
As for the question, get a clue mate. Your military protects you every day. You will have the right to critisise it after a few combat tours, otherwise you are just another idiot liberal complaining about the freedom he is handed on a silver platter.

So you dont believe we should have a Military to defend our country and our borders?
Think about what you said, no money for our military. Without a military any other country can take us over and take our freedom away. Could you just imagine China just strolling in and taking over our government and putting in place a Chinese government to govern us.
What would they do different?
Oh things like: curfew (9pm), register to go from one state to another, jobs working for them only (making chinese junk toys), no governement benefits, higher taxes to them, control schools to teach communism or socialism, no higher education, take our books away and burn them, have chinese guards at every main highway in us to check passports, etc etc etc.
We need our military to stay strong and they need money to do that. Do not blame the military for doing a war they were ordered to do by their top man, Bush. Bush is the one who is spending all our money on an unjust war. We should have kept our noses out of another countries business and stopped pushing democracy down their throats.
What goes around comes around, unfortunately.

actually the schools get alot of money more than ever before, but bombers allow us to keep schools open under a free society.

If this happened then average SAT scores would go down again and people like you would be accusing the military of failing to protect you from the consequences of your stupidity.

Unfortunately if that were to happen we would soon be speaking Chinese, Russian, or some other dialect. If that would have happened in the 40's were would be speaking German and asking "what's a Jew?"
