Though she swears this is not the end, I am inclined to believe that it is. She has always been with someone since she was 16 and now claims not to know what it is to be alone. If you love someone, as she claims to love me, is there ever a point when you want to experience life without them? Is there a point when the cold and barrenness of being alone seems more appealing than being with someone you claim to be happy with? She says that it feels like cheating when someone hits on her and she doesn't tell them to stop. I said that it wouldn't feel like cheating unless, on some level, she actually wanted it to happen and maybe even wanted to accept it. All I know and believe is that if you love someone, you shouldn't be wondering what else there is; you should be content to be where you are and who you're with. I think we're done, I just don't know why she needs to drag me through the mud before she shoots me in the face.

Im sorry for your loss---beause realistically, "I need to be alone" was her kind way of letting you down and she hoped letting you know that she isn't in to you as you are with her. Your head is on straight- your comments about what you want out of the relationship are right on for someone who loves a person, but you are still blinded by your love for her to realize that it is over and be thankful she didn't drag this on longer or shoot you in the face---there are a lot of girls out there would are looking for someone who at your age, is so in tune to their feelings and willing to share them totally with someone else----Check her off and move on--, it's Saturday night and get out.

Get it together, man! She had the courage to tell you what she wants and you had better believe that you two are not always going to agree on what's best for yourselves as individuals if your relationship continues. This isn't exactly a test but you are definitely going to be evaluated on your reaction. Give her space, and don't make demands of her time but stay in touch. Call her up and see how she's doing. You want to be with someone that is happy with themselves, don't you? Let her be happy and enjoy her when you have the chance. If you stay positive, she will be back before you know it.

The words "I need to be alone" means

I need to be alone from you for a day so I can hook up with someone else.

You can't make anyone love you, if she doesn't want to be with you than just walk away. If you stick around and try to work it out you might make that happen but we are talking a very low % of that taking place. 2 out of 100 might work.

Be with someone that wants to be with you, you live a lot longer that way.

Well,
80% it means she wants a break up.
Still 20% she just want to contemplate and ponder on herself.

But usually wanting to be alone is just to have more time either really alone or with someone else. My 2 previous girlfriends wanted a "soft" breakup.

What is she dragging you through? If you're being dragged, it's because you're refusing to let go. She is saying "let me be alone". Whatever she says around that is to preserve your feelings. So take the hint, because now you're the one who has control over how much hurt you are going to go through.

Woman are cruel when they have the upper hand.... watch the seinfeld episode.

Your only hope is to break it off with her. Cuz you could keep on going and get hurt and dumped...or you can end it and make her crawl back....then you have the upper hand, my friend. Either way you cant lose!

Gosh, you sound like more drama than a 14 year old gay boy.

She is saying she wants to be alone. Give her some space; 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, and let her call you if she wants to be with you.

Find yourself during that time and don't be so whipped. You need to do things for yourself and get your balls back.

geez.
