Especially for you americans out there. All we ever see is your citizens is glorifying your country and condeming "evil" like north korea. but at the same time all we hear is complaining about iraq and your leaders who send you there. I believe that if war is neccisary to stop a regime from claiming power with nukes, then that is what needs to happen. What do you think?

I believe that while it is tempting to use the easiest solution (blow up what we don't like) it never leads us to a better place. If we take down North Korea then that will likely lead to greater tensions with China and the start of a new cold war, which is likely to heat up quickly with the way our politicians think today. Also, a new Korean war would be much, much worse than Iraq even if nuclear weapons didn't come into play. I would wager on 500,000 to 1 million Korean deaths if the north puts up any fight at all.

What we need to do is accept that they have the bomb and are not going to give it up, but at the same time negotiate with them and bring them into the international community with security assurances so as to decrease their perceived need to defend themselves. In time, much like Russia during the cold war, they will either fall on their own or convert to a less totalitarian government.

The concept of using war to prevent war never works. People will quote how we were attacked at Pearl Harbor without provocation but in truth the U.S. had already planned to enter WWII well before that time even going so far as to reinstate the draft during "peacetime". In the end even the best of wars (WWII) lead to more wars such as the Cold War and even the War on Terrorism today caused by our actions in the region during WWII. For once people should truly adhere to a policy of war only in true self defense and not seek to make the world better through mass murder.

First off, I don't know what country you're from, but you shouldn't judge Americans by what you see on the news. Most news orgs today don't give you the whole truth..

To answer your question,we're way overdue to have a missile defense system. I know the liberals and Russians would whine, but if you implement Reagan's "Star Wars", and share it with the rest of the world, nukes will become obsolete and North korea would be wasting their money.

Sometimes war is the answer. Little Kim who swigs expensive wine all day while his people eat bark off of trees will get what he's got coming sooner of later.

I hope it's sooner. I'd love to see the two Korea's reunited so that the prosperity of the south can migrate north.

Most Americans are not in favour of the war in Iraq. Most are confused since the terrorist fled to Afganistan. We started in Afganistan, but quickly side-stepped to Iraq. I can gaurantee you that American leadership eyes are well fixed on N. Korea. It's scarry and there is a feeling that governmental power has become critically out of control!

Be lucky you're far, far away!

We need to make a pre-emptive military strike on both N.Korea and Iran to stop them from developing and distributing nuclear weapons.
All the libeals are against the war until a nuke goes off in New York and then they will all be blaming conservatives for not protecting their sorry self serving cowardly butts...

The War on Iraq is just a way to weaken the muslim country. The U.S.A. will weaken it by making three different countries out of it. Proof of this is what it did to Korea, Germany, and Russia. Korea was made into N. Korea and S. Korea. Germany was mand into E. Germany and W. Germany, and Russia was made into several different countries. As you can see it is U.S.A's way of weakening countries.

Too bad we've been so busy with the war on terror... apparently we will be busy there for a very long time... This seems to be an opportune time for N. Korea to do things that really piss us off!

The USA only invades countries who do not have nukes,

The lesson is if you don't want to be invaded by the USA, get some nukes as quickly as possible.

I just say that we allow the Ohio class Submarine that is currently sitting in one of North Korea's harbors to open its launch doors, and plant one right in Kimmy's palace.
