Boxers are intelligent, and typically learn and house break quick... so be consistent on everything you ask of her, and she will amaze you.
She will also, very soon, turn into a huge bundle of energy. And they jump, and grab with their front paws (their name says it all) That's just a boxer pup... another reason to let her know right from the start what you expect from her behavioral. T
They need to be exercise with more than a walk..... ball chasing, flirt pole, (check this site on how to make one- http://www.geocities.com/psidogswebsite/WeightPullCartFlirtPoles.html) give her the exercise, and you will both be much happier, and your house will survive puppy-hood better!

I had a boxer and they can be a handful! Your little girl is just playing and not being hyperactive. If she jumps on you, gently push her down and firmly say "No". Jumping can be a big problem with boxers. She also will probably continue to have accidents for a while. Did you consider puppy kindergarten for her at all? They could really help you with controlling her before she gets out of hand. Good luck. I have a 13 week and a 6 month old Sheltie puppy now. They have been almost too good.

Is there something specific; I have 2 boxers and one is the mom of 2 litters. 8 week old is a baby - make sure to remember that - key things to give them plenty to do - they are very smart. Give them good allowable things to chew on so they won't chew on something else; right now they are similar to a baby ; they eat, poop, play and nap. Make sure to socialize your puppy with other dogs and places (not until they have been vaccinated) so you will have a confident, happy and friendly pet. Boxers are sensitive to heat and cold. They are very social animals and mine always are with me room to room or looking for me wherever I am - they love to be where the action is. Mine love to ride in the car and have done so since a pup so they are use to it . As the pup gets older make sure they have plenty of exercise or they will look to get into things. They have a lot of energy and are very strong when older. Teach them discipline even though they are too cute when they look at you with those eyes and face. They will try to run the house if you don't let them know that you can handle your job. Most of all love them to pieces - 8 weeks old is such a wonderful time with them - you have made me miss the puppies that we use to have - I cried my eyes out the day that each one left but I am in contact with all the owners who are now good friends. - enjoy them they are a beautiful breed with great great personalities.
P.S. Please people don't punish your dog, isolate him, solitare confinement, hit or yell. If it is a house breaking problem, you can't punish for what is done, you only can try to prevent a future one. Patience, love and time investment is the answer - anything else is just animal abuse.

I have a 3ry old boxer myself! first of all great choice!!! Boxers rock and its awsome that you have a young one to train and bond with! The thing is (the majority of) boxer are VERY loyal dogs more so than just your everyday average kinda dog! So, if you want your dog to grow up to be friendly, obedient, & trusting then you will need to spend alot of time with him/her.
If you are still house breaking him/her (or training her) make sure NOT to yell at him/her simply show them what they did wrong and them stuck them in there house/kennel. Hitting and yelling is NOT the answer! (Belive me i tried that and then Bella (my pup) would either pee b/c she was so scared or cry!) :( That is NOT the way they learn. Praising them for good is the best thing to do! (Positive renforcement) Boxer are out to please their masters!
And later if you notice that they are starting to act really bad (such as eating garbage or doing new out of the ordinary things) then they are probally acting out for attention!!!! That is what Bella did for attention so the next night (she is an outside dog) I gave her a bath and she spent the night in side with me and i made sure from then on that i would not get too busy or tierd for my pup! And so far so good!!! Don't be like counless other irresponsible dog owners, dog NEED attention! Other than that boxers are beautiful, smart, loyal animal that would give their life for their loved ones! Good luck! ;) and God Bless!!!!
