HIV is the virus that causes AIDS and it is spread through the exchange of bodily fluids from one person to another. Contrary to what our esteemed Senator Frist has stated publicly, people cannot contract the virus through kissing or through tears (you would need to drink a gallon or more of saliva to get enough of the virus in your system to contract the disease).
It is spread through sexual contact (semen or vaginal secretions); through blood; and from the breast milk of nursing mothers to their babies.

AIDS get spread mainly in 3 or 4 ways.
1. thro' physical relation with an infected person .
2. thro' contamintaed Blood Transfusion
3. from infected mother to child in pregnany
4. through infected needles when the "same needle" is used by many and one of them is infected !

Acquird immune deficiency syndrome spreads in the following ways:
-vertical transmission that is from pregnant woman to her baby
-thru sexual intercourse with an infected person
-Thru blood transfusion if the donor was infected
-Sharing of needles by drug addicts if one of them is affected
-accidental needle pricks(hospital setting)
