You can use vinegar, toothpast, mint, garlic, egg whites, and others. There is a great article about home remedies at http://www.theknowguide.com/acne-19.html

This is going to sound crazy but like you I tried everything and nothing worked. A friend told me about using honey to cure acne. I though she was crazy but I was desperate so I tried it. And it actually worked!! What you do is buy some raw honey. (it has to be raw honey and you can get that just about anywhere) Anyways, you put it where ever you have a blemish and then put a band aid over it. Do this at night and sleep with it on. When you wake up all the redness will be gone and the blemish should be at least half the size. Just continue doing this every night until it's all cleared up. It really works. I will completely clear in a week. Now I use Vitamin A and E to keep my skin soft and blemish free. Just buy the capsules break them open mix them together in your hand and apply it directly to your face at night. Do this a couple times a week. You will be so surprised by the results. Good luck!!!

I had bad acne, and I used an ancient remedy that africans use, Use honey on your face once every night, Honey contains antimicrobial agents and enzymes that are very good for the skin. The natural antimicrobial properties of honey will kill off bacteria that cause acne.
Honey is a very complex substance, it contains so many ingredients that even scientists haven't yet figured out what is actually in honey.
If you want to promote healthier skin from the inside, i would suggest you take royal jelly, orally, they sell it in caplets at most places where you can buy herbal medicine. Vitamin E supplements will also help your skin heal faster.

Glycolic acid is another thing you may want to use to get rid of your scars- it is a natural substance that occurs in fruits as an alpha hydroxy acid. If you are sensitive to it, i would suggest using it in small concentrations in a cream form you can search it on froogle and find out where you can get it online / or check your local beauty supply store.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Toothpaste will dry out the pimple, and therefore after a while dry out the skin. It is ok for once in a while usage but it should not be used too often. I suffer with oily skin, and I found that oatmeal works brilliantly! I use it as a cleanser. take 1 handful of oatmeal, close your fist with the oatmeal in it and run it under warm water. the oatmeal should be slightly damp and when pressed a milky liquid should rise to the surface. apply this to your face with circular motions and rinse off with warm water. this will leave your skin clean and soft. another thing that I use is a baking soda mask. take some baking soda and mix it in with a very small amount of water until it becomes a paste. apply this to your skin and wait for it to dry. then rinse it off with warm water. only use this about twice a week. the cleanser can be used everyday.
