It's just a butter substitute made of preservatives and lower cholesteral oils.
As far as advice on how to spread it, well, you just spread it. It's not really complicated.

Country Crock is like any other Oleo. You don't have to be a cook to spread it on bread. Dip the knife in the Oleo, and spread it on the bread.

It's a type of margarine. I would use a butter knife to spread it on bread. It's pretty soft stuff so it shouldn't be difficult.

it's butter, it comes in little round brown tubs at the supermarket. it's lid says country crock and is in the freezer section

It is a brand name of a margarine. It is supposed to taste like butter. I personally dont' like it. If I want butter I get butter.
