its actually my brothers and hes letting me borrow it to go to work. I need to find out the year so i can register a parking spot for it and i cat get ahold of him.

if you look on the inside of the driver side doorjam, you will find all the information about the jeep.

Tenth digit in on the VIN # gives you the year, so, sometimes its a letter.
A 1980 L 1990 Y 2000
B 1981 M 1991 1 2001
C 1982 N 1992 2 2002

Look under the hood, you will find a sticker giving the engine size and such, the model year should also be there. If not look on the driver side door jam.

Look on the cover of the owner's manual. If you can't find that, look at the sticker near the part of the driver's side door that latches the door shut. If you still can't find it, send me a picture and I'll tell you what year it is.

Open the drivers door. There shoud be a data plate there with the information you are looking for. Model.. Date of manufacture.. more..

It could be on the passenger side door too but its supposed to be on the drivers side.

check his registration papers in the car. he should have it in there, if he doesnt then make sure you dont get pulled over by a cop
