We have to cut the hair off our dog's butt on a regular basis - he's bad for dangle-berries - very hairy!

Dingle Berrie?... Aren't those the little balls of hair and crap that hang off of a dog's a*s?... Just give your dog a bath. If you have dingle berries, I suggest you shower and shave your butt.

I assume you mean dingle berries.
first of all make sure you wipe your butt thoroughly so the poop doesn't get mixed with a little piece of toilet paper and poop and stick to your butt hairs.
that is how to prevent them...
to get rid of them you probably would have to cut it off....
Good hygiene and clean butt=no dingle berries!
