Any dictionary (paper or on-line) will give you gender (m or f)
Plural is generally -s add the end. Some words that end in -al change to -aux in the plural, and some words that end in -u add x for plural. Again, a good dictionary will tell you that.

Short cut with few exceptions: Feminine is generally a thing that contains, support or is around things, like a table, a spoon, a window. Masculine is a knife, a stick, a wall. Pluriel just add "s" (not pronounced) or few times "x" ( always after "u") as in Genoux (knees) masculin pluriel.

if the word begins with "le" or "un", it is masculine. If it ends in "la" or "une", it is femenin. A word that ends in e is usually femenin. Not always though

freetranslation.com will if you put it in from English. Any paper dictionary will though. And there are certain endings which imply gender, such as -tion (fm)
- la formation
