God died for humanity beacause he loved you so much. He knew that when the first Sin occurred. He had to die a painful death on the cross for your Sins. Rember you were on his mind when he was on the cross. He streched out his arms and died for you that is how much he loved you, which is way beyond our inmagination.

God didn't die. Jesus, the Son of God died. He had to be the one to die because someone had to since the wages of sin is death. (Rom. 6:23) And sin is the transgression of God's law. (1 John 3:4) It had to be someone not created because all have sinned. (Rom. 3:23) Someone had to pay the penalty of sin. He paid it once for all to bring us into oneness with God again if we accept the gift of salvation. (Heb. 9: 27,28)

God had to die because there was so much sin in the world and there was no way that anyone could go to heaven.so... when he died all the sins of the whole world got put on him and then all of our sins were forgiven.so now when we do something wrong God all ready knows that we were going to do that wrong thing because he made us. so when we ask for forgiveness then the lord forgives us no matter how bad the sin is God just forgets all about it i hope that answers your question!!P.S JESUS IS THE ONE WHO DIED BUT YA THERE ALL THE SAME PERSON AND GOD IS NOT DED

God died out of his OWN will because he loves us- He did this out of his GRACE. He is sinless and does not allow sin into heaven- he has no sin, but he became sin as a man ( Jesus Christ) and died on the cross taking OUR sins upon Him- so that we could be set free and forgiven...Through his precious blood...
we dont deserve that!
God wanted to make a way for us, so that we could live eternally with Him- cleansed, redeemed and born again in his Spirit. For we were all born of sin, and we have all sinned against Him ( Romans 3:23)
For the wages of sin is death -Romans 6:23
But God demonstrated his own love towards us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us -Romans 5:8

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

whatz wrong with death. its such a beautiful thing to happen. any one watched how death comes and goes. most beautiful thing to witness. its a astronomical phenomena that happens once in a millenia.
i know nobody, (only christian & muslims) may not like this answer. but i cant help it.
the other answer i have is - expiry date. it has to be destroyed after that. so thats what happened.

Jesus(pbuh) was human n repsected prophet from God, so he died.all others r misconceptions,as i have understood through my studies...
