Hello My name is MIsty, and I do not conform to any relgion, but I am a spirtitual person who loves her fellow man, and respects everyones beliefs. I pose questions from many perspectives, because I have many beliefs sewn into my blanket of faith, which allows me to not judge. When you say there is only one path to god do you not realize this is judgement deeming yourself as god.
And since I once studied Christianity I know the scriptures, and that any man that has beliefs will be persecuted in gods name.
Man, being me, or in my case woman. What you believe is sound and just, but that does not mean it is the only way. So i ask you
again do you judge my beliefs, and are you god?

A very Good thought.....infact whereever the word "only" comes, there man is Deviated. There is nothing absolute to the finite knowledge and understanding of Men.

If you have really studied the scriptures you would know that Jesus said, "I am the way and the light and only through me can you come before the throne". That makes it very clear to me as a Christian. However, I stand by your right to question. I must point out that god is a lesser god, and the father of the Lord Christ is God the Father. Hopefully you will except my blessings

I do not judge you, the bible says (maybe you missed this) "Do not judge least you are judged"

If I were to say there is only one path to God because I say so I would indeed be putting myself in the place of God.

However I do not say this, I simply quote to you the words of a great man who did say this very thing. Jesus Christ the Lord whom I serve - the name above all names, the one true and holy God says this:

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
- John 14:6

And
"Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed from death to life" - John 5:24

These are the words of the Lord, they are not my words. I would never have come up with this. So do not fear being judged by me or by any other Christian or by any other person in the world. What does it matter what I or anyone else thinks? All that matters is what the Lord of heaven thinks.

It does not sound to me as though you 'respect everyones beliefs'. Christians believe that there is only one path to God, it is a vital part of their faith. I am not God, nor do I choose to judge you. Believe what you want and let others do the same. If your 'blanket of faith' keeps you warm at night then you have obviously found something to comfort you, which is good. Just don't expect to get into heaven with it.

Jesus said "I AM the way, the Truth and the Light. NO man can come unto the Father BUT through Me."

Christians are commanded by Jesus, to go and make disciples of all the earth. Why? Because "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him would have everlasting life".

Jesus himself said "one Lord, one faith, one baptism", showing that there is only one correct way to worship God. I don't condemn those who believe otherwise, I just point out where the Bible disagrees with their beliefs. It's up to God to judge them.

If someone committs murder, anyone can say 'The law says that's wrong', but it's up to the judge at the courthouse to make the final decision and pass judgement.

Jesus said " I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes to the father but by me." I'm not sure the location of the verse but it's in the Bible.

I agree with you. It also says in the bible that Ye are Gods, the bible constantly contradicts itself leaving it up to the person reading it to decide for themselves what is truth and what is not. Unfortunately most people refuse to think for themselves so they believe all the bible to be 100% truth, in doing so they follow a lot of different ideas and not facts.

This statement one path to heaven is what the bible says. If this is your belief you will follow it faithfully and whole heartily. This is why they say this not because they think they are God but because this is written.
