I dont think its an emergency. I would just keep an eye on it and put some warm compresses on it try to let a little of the water run into it. She might have just gotten something in it or maybe has a cold in it. I had that happen to my cat. After a few days I did take her to the doc because it didnt clear up. But I think you can wait till monday.

Unless that eye gets really pusy and goopy, I would just leave it alone. Cats can scratch their eye surface, just like we do, and it is irritated for a while and then it is OK in a day or so. Some cats have chronically weepinig eyes, like Persians. Sometimes to do nothing is the best thing. You start putting all sorts of things in that eye and you could set up an infection that isn't there. Unless the weeping gets worse and has pus in it or if the discharge starts looking pink (like it has blood in it), you are probably better off to let it alone.

If the eye is watering, redness, squinting, or is pawing at the eye, this is what you have to do:

Try to open the eye
if you can see an object and it is easy to take out, try flushing it out wit warm water
Then take it to the vet, so he can check up on it

Not a big emergency, but is somtin that could cuz blindness

Well she may have something in it like a piece of hair. Or she could have been scratched. Take a flash light and shine it sideways or pick up the cat and hold it sideways by a light enough to make the eyes reflect so the surface is plain and easy to see. Look closely at the surface of the eye. It should be smooth like a shiny piece of glass. If there is a line or mark she may have been scratched than TAKE HER TO THE VET cause this can result in blindness. If you hold it up there and see a piece of hair. Well than that is the culprit. I wouldn't recommend trying to get it out. They eye will eventually tear enough to run it out.

possibly shes have been given some thing in her eye. Cats eyes are in basic terms like human eyes in that they water each time it senses debris has gotten into it. Have her appeared at with the help of a vet. Oh, is she favoring the attention? meaning does she bat at it or run her paws throughout the time of it? if so, it is yet another particular sign that somethings gotten into it. Cats eyes are greater well-off then our very own.

Might be a good idea to call your vet. She could have something stuck in her eye or even a scratch. If it's scratched the vet will give you some ointment to put in her eye. You can try to wash her eye with a warm wet wash cloth, just wash from the tear duct out.

Cats frequently scratch their own eye or another cat gives them a claw to the eye in an encounter. Try a simple eye drop solution and if this doesn't work, call the vet.

she's not crying...watery eye can be a # of things-maybe got scratched, could be a blocked tear duct, could be the start of a cold (URI)= upper respitory infection...any nasel discharge?
could possibly be the start of pink eye...watch only for a day or two...if not better have a vet check it.

No, just study it for anything in there to hurt the eyes, if so gently remove the item. If not just wait for a few minutes for it to stop if it dosen't just bring it to a vet, Your welcome
