candles if you have them in bedroom mind you dont burn your bum lololol

Stay away from candles unless you have no children, no pets, and are willing to keep an eye on them throughout their entire burning! Candles have a way of falling over when you least expect it. Remember your history--the Chicago fire in the 1800s? A cow was alleged to have knocked over a coal-oil lamp. For romance at the dinner table, there's nothing like candles. Then after you've eaten, blow the things out, and turn the ELECTRIC lights low--that's why we have dimmers....Every year, there are reports of fires and deaths from unattended candles. In the old days, this happened, too, but I'm sure they would have used electric lights all the time if they had them...

Depends on not only what you are doing but where it is being done!
I personally love candles in the bathroom and bedroom and prefer a lamp in the living room. They both create much softer lighting, which can be beneficial not just on the eyes but on what the eye sees!!
Candles are not just for romantic occasions but also use as a form to pamper yourself. In the bath with a glass of wine, bubble bath and enough candles to create a nice warm glow. Very relaxing, ideal for turning a necessity {washing} into a luxurious event!!

Depends how much you use the room and the setting that you what to create. If the room is one you use everyday, i would recommend lamps for practical reasons because they are easier to take care of and provide better lighting. However, if it is for a special occasion and you want to set a more relaxed mood, i would recommend candles because they give the room a more comfortable feeling and sometimes a great smell. Lava lamps because they are very nice to have in a bedroom or one of those french vanilla candles that not only give the the room a nice light but also give out a fragrant smell that make your relax and throw away your stress.Or maybe lights that can be control from bright to dim.

Electric lamps are safer.You can buy special bulbs that are candle shaped and actually flicker.They look cool too !

depending upon what you want them for.
a romantic dinner - candles or a very soft light
reading - lamp
watching tv - lamp or nothing
