I give my cat shrimp, and she loves it. It's possibly your cat is allergic to it. Maybe stop giving her shrimp for a while and maybe she will go back to normal. If she does, only give her a few shrimps. My cat doesn't show any symtoms. E-mail me if you need any more help about cat problems, I could help!

Not a great answer but more of a warning: My cats don't care for shrimp but my mom's cat has an addiction to cocktail shrimp. He didn't like it at first but for some reason we kept forcing it on him until he got addicted. He is now 12 years old and has a brain tumor. The first symptoms of the brain tumor were very similar to the ones you are describing. Weak legs, occasional twitches plus he kept acting like he had a slightly stiff neck. Within the year it had gotten much worse and he was having some sort of seizure that resembled a full body stretch but would end with him falling off the bed. He's still around but he's on massive amounts of steroids now and all my mom can do is try to "make him comfortable". I somehow doubt it was shrimp related but he did consume an awful lot of it in the later half of his life. We never noticed a bad reaction to the shrimp when we gave it to him and my mom now feeds it to him every day since he loves it and we know he's not going to be around much longer. I am in no way saying that shrimp causes brain tumors, just that the symptoms you described were similar to the early symptoms of her cats tumor. It just sounds like your cat should stay off the shrimp for now until you have a chance to bring him/her to a vet to find out what's really going on.
On another note, my cats LOVE canned tuna and sardines in tomato sauce. I recently told this to my vet and he was very forceful in telling me that those canned fish products are bad for cats even as treats. I honestly can't remember what he said was bad about it, just that there's a particular toxin in the canned fish that is harmful. I have also read there may be some issue with fresh tuna being a problem as well. It seems every book, person and website has a different view on this so who really knows.

OK.. My spoiled cat loves shrimp.. loves tuna better... but I often buy cans of cat food(shrimp) as a treat for her.. And.. there is nothing wrong(ingredient -wise) that would prevent me from feeding her shrimp

Obviously if eating shrimp causes your cat problems you simply cut it out of his diet.

I buy shrimpg once a week to treat my cats. Are you sure the symptoms don't mean she is in dietary extasy?
