I have noticed some of these supposed 'Sports and Energy' drinks contain Aspartame.

What a swizz! People buy what they think is a healthy drink and it contains that Toxic Sludge!

Aspartame causes Rhinitis, I know that first hand.

Never will I allow that poison in my house again. First sight of it and I pour it in the sink.

These so called sports drinks are just sugar which gives you a rapid boost of energy by the effect is short lived and you end up needing more.
Best way to maintain energy levels is to eat carbohydrates and drink water in readiness for exercise.
They should be made from wholefoods such as mashed potato or shredded wheat. You get the picture.

You must be from the UK I have been trying to find Lucozade in Canada for years. I`m sorry if I`m not answering your question, I usually don`t do that but I`m putting you on my watch list because I also want to know and I am too cheap to spend the points.

Lucozade contains the equivalent of thirteen cubes of sugar that might be alright for a quick shot of energy but to drink it regularly it must damage your health.

I dont like them and dont tend to drink them unless I get a low blood glucose level (im diabetic). Within a couple of seconds of drinking it my blood glucose is on the way up again. Very fast and very effective, but otherwise no good to man or beast! lol

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.

you are only meant to drink sport drinks when you do lots of exercise because it gives you all the stuff you need in your body that you are losing from the exercise (so i have been told)

and if you are not doing any physical activity then you shouldn't drink it cause it's so fattening and bad for you
