Sorry but a 1941 wheat penny is only worth a penny. If you come across a 1934 d it has gone up to $35 and so has a 1935 s . 1942 s is up to $12 and a 1947 up to $7.50 and 1951 s $10. Coin collecting is fun and even if a coin today doesnt have any value it doesnt mean that it wont in the future. Tell him to hold on to it since it wont cost him anything to do that and make sure that he keeps it in something where it wont be getting scratched or touched with fingers. The oils on your hands will over time break done a coin and ruin it where it could of been worth something but because of the break down it is now worth nothing. I started collecting coins from all the world even if they arent worth anything its just fun to see the different types of money from the different countries.

My dad has a 1935 or 36 wheat penny and when he checked on it , it was only worth like 60 cents.

less than 5 dollars. If it's in the condition MS-63 which means it's still unbelievably shiny, with only a few microscopic scratches, and it's minted in Philadelphia (no letter under the date) then it's worth about $40.

one penny. There are many wheat pennies still around. They are fun to collect but not worth any increased value.

Only one penny, trust me, I collect coins that have no value, yet are very interesting. I have 5 of those, yes, they are cool, but don't expect money for it, maybe someone who really wants it will buy it for more, Good Luck!

it depends on the mint & condition, plain wheat cents are still fairly common I have a few jars full of them.
