A much better way: post it here, or send it to someone who is fluent in spanish (such as myself) for translation. It would be helpful if you note what country that friend is from, as sometimes there are little differences between the countries. Also, when you write something that is going to be translated, try to stay away from english slang and "cute" e-mail-speak, as it makes translating more difficult. Your best bet is to write it as if you were writing to your governor/90-year-old grandmother/etc., meaning that everything should be in standard english.

If you want me to translate for you, feel free to send it to me through Yahoo. I promise to keep your emails private, and will send you back a translation. Saludos!

The translators dont work because they cant break the verbs down into there relavent tenses,.your better just going into the language section ,and asking some one to translate it for you,as long as its not too personal.

Google has a translation tool but you will have to translate short sentences one at a time. Better than having to pay for translation fees or flicking through the dictionary
