muslims all over the world cover their head(mostly) while offering prayers whether it's bald or not...they do it in repsect of prayers.
n if they do it,even normally,like while moving in society,then it's not religious act,it's cultural,n sometimes habitual...
hope this clears.

Muslims as in women?..well if so, then, that would be for modesty and integrity. Women are NOT oppressed to cover their heads. In the Qur'an, it states that women should cover their heads, but it's a choice up to them. When women are covered, so is their beauty. Here, let's put it this way, if you (a male) walked down the street and saw a lady with a short skirt and a low-cut shirt, while on the opposite street there was another women but covered from head to toe, with a long robe and a headscarf. You'd deffinately rather look at the lady with barely any clothes on, just because of human nature. See, in Islam, women are given respect by covering themselves. They're protected from those men out there who cannot control themselves (rapists and such). Yet, most of the time Americans don't see this and it's difficult for them to grasp. But, i have faith and i believe that this question can be answered without any misconceptions about head veils/covers.

Hope i Helped!

Good Luck

It is a custom borrowed from the Jews, who cover their heads in the presence of God, especially during prayer..I do not know if the muslims have others reasons than that.

You don't mean this question seriously, or you would have worded it differently. Why do you feel the need to be so negative.?
