So difficult to answer this question unless I know his reason why he feels that you are "bugging" him too much in anything. Try to analyze the situation and review your tendencies. Do you always call him on his cell to check what he's doing?

Focus your mind on something else (hobby, peers, other interests) and learn to accept the fact that your world does not evolve on this guy alone. Let's see if he starts looking for you if he realizes the gap created in his life because of your "new" behavior.

Something's wrong if he wouldn't attempt to call you at least, in a day.

Move on; give him all the space he wants, if you show that you are not waiting around for him maybe he won't need so much space. if there is no reaction you have already started to break away, and the loss will not be so great.

Guys don't like the smothered feeling. They like to feel important, but don't like to feel exclusively yours very often. His space may feel crowded if you try to infringe on his "boy-things-to-do-together" or if he feels he can see other girls as well.

if you like him enough you'll respect his decision and just give him his space. if things go well during that time then maybe he'll come back. i guess you just have to wait and see
