EARLY DAYS
When yogurt-loving Ludwig Müller first established his little Bavarian village dairy back in 1896, he could scarcely have imagined the staggering success it was to become. Today his grandson Theo runs a business which last year turned over €1.3 billion.

When Theo Müller took control of the family business in 1970, he recognised that the local popularity of his dairy's brands could be translated into national success if he improved the recipes and gave the products some heavyweight marketing support. Clever. The company began to grow very quickly, and in 1980 launched an innovative snack with fruit sauce and dairy rice in the same container – the genesis of Müller® Rice.

This unique combination of convenience and taste proved very popular and in 1982 the dairy launched its famous split pot with yogurt and fruit that would be soon known and loved around the world as Müller® Corner®.

1980"S
In 1986 Müller® UK started up in a single office overlooking Windsor Castle.
In 1987, with a mission to bring delicious yogurt to the rest of Europe and eventually the world, Theo Müller started the British company in earnest by launching Fruit Corner® and Crunch Corner® in the north of England.
It was so successful that, in 1988, the Müller® brand was launched nationwide

1990'S
By 1990, the virtually fat-free Müllerlight® diet yogurt and the dairy rice snack Müller® Rice were successfully launched in the UK.
Müller® UK grew fast – nearly as fast as the British appetite for Müller® yogurts. In 1991 construction started on a new £30m state of the art production facility in Market Drayton, Shropshire.
June 1992 saw another major landmark, when Müller® achieved the coveted status of market leader. It had taken us just five years to become the UK’s best-loved dairy brand.
In 1993 Müller® won Brand Of The Year in the ITV Marketing Awards.

2000's
2000
Müller® Vitality® launched in 2000, giving Müller-lovers the chance to get some probiotic goodness, in a tasty yogurt.
Müller® Rice Only 1% Fat is launched in Multipack format in Strawberry and original flavours.
2001
£55 million factory extension opened by HRH The Duchess of York.
2002
Müller® celebrated ten years of production in the UK.

Early 90s I'd say, but the rest you'd have to look up on the Muller website. Back in the early days though it was just strawberry or cherry (and possibly one other fruit). The crunchy ones didn't come in until later, along with the dessert ones.

I pour all of the fruit into the yougurt & mix it in really well. I tried putting a little fruit on the spoon & then dipping it in the yougurt but it just made the yoghurt red on the bits the spoon had touched.
