i'm trying to put win2000 on my old computer, and some antivirus, it looks that win2000 works good enough,but antivir programs needs too mutch sistem resurces, can u tell me one, what dont needs a really good machine? ( 500mhz/128MB memory )

I have 13 computers. 11 use AVG free, and the other 2 use Avast. All are Dell GX1 450 or 500 mhz P-III with 512MB of RAM W2k sp4. RAM is cheap.
There are four very good freeware AV program on the market. If you need more bell and whiltses try their suscription version. See the link below for the list of AV as will as antispyware and firewall programs. They are all freeware.

virus don't fly at 500Mhz anymore, they are much fatser. don't worry about them - they are on a mission to attack much faster machines

AVG is probably your best option, http://free.grisoft.com/ there are others... but AVG is very light on resources.

avast on zd.com also look for zonealarm it work good to..same web site..
