I got a nasty cigarette burn at the bar about a month ago and it still will not heal. The Burn is actully pretty deep and melted away a few layers of skin, so now there is like a small divot in my arm. I have been washing it and putting neosporin on it daily. All it does is scab up and a than the scab falls off like a week later and underneath is just pale white skin that doesn't look like it healed at all. Also it had like a red ring around it, but i really don't think its infected at all since I wash it so much. Any help on making it heal?

Go to your local pharmacist and ask for burn ointment, I'm not sure if you need a prescription but it does work. My son had a large burn on his hand and we were prescribed this and he has no scar at all. BTW that mark from the burn is normal but will fade. There is also a kind of patch that you can buy at a drug store that is specifically for scar reduction,I think Band Aid makes it.

Try keeping it dry for a few days - and stop picking at it...........
