If one is a Catholic priest then the answer is of course true.
Its a really good excuse for doing all the peadophilia that one can and then hiding behind the umbrella of a ficititous character to get away with it.
And every person putting money into the box every Sunday is a willing vicarious party to the child abuse that goes on DAILY in the church.

Actually accepting Christ's gift is the greatest freedom. The knowledge doesn't make one free, acting on it does.

Not true. Being a good person, and living by the creed of "do unto others..." is the key to freedom and heaven.

My greatest freedom was becoming an agnostic. I do not see something that restricts you and uses fear as a means of control like christianity does to be freedom.

Atheism is the greatest freedom. Such irrational theistic beliefs only lead to immorality and ignorance.

No, actually the deification of Jesus is pretty much a mockery of "God" and a sad misunderstanding of one's own personal responsibility for his or her spiritual progress. Believing that Yahweh / "God" is a primitive deity who demands blood sacrifice to appease his own ungodly wrath, and who forgives wrongs on the basis of the suffering of a chosen "whipping boy", and who allows people to be cast into "hell" ... are all heinously, horribly sad and sick insults to "God".
