I am decorating a christmas tree for Vietnam vets. I am desperately trying to find them empty miniature liquor bottles.
I, and other people have asked the airline stewards if we could have their empties. The reply is always NO.
If anyone out there can help me, the vets and I will be truly happy.
Thanks, Dianne

This is what I'd do.

I'd call the home office of several of the main liquor bottling companies. I'd explain what I was doing and ask them for help. They should be able to help. Don't just call one company. Call a bunch of them. If you don't get the answer you want, keep trying. Be persistent!!

Wal-Greens carries them. They're usually up front by the registers in the liquor department or behind the counter so people don't steal them. Either that or you could try a small local liquor store. I don't think that many people online would sell liquor because of the obvious liability and the shipping hassles of sending hazardous materials. We had a pinata and put a bunch of plastic miniatures in it for our New Year's Eve party and got everything at Wal-Greens for a pretty good price.

I know in my state it is illegal for establishments to give away empty liquor or beer bottles. Maybe have a nip party. Everyone can bring and drink some nips leaving you the empties.

Go to local liquor stores and look in the trash can outside the door or ask the cashier for some, because there are early morning drinkers that come in and buy them and drink them right then and there!!

The state of SC is required by law to use those tiny liquor bottles at restaurants. I would try calling some of those restaurants and see if they could mail you some bottles.
