It still resides in me, but is slowly being killed by my ambition. Should I allow it to die, at the cost of my ambition?

How can speed up the process of purging it from me?

You can not kill your soul,it is the life of the body,it lived before you had this body and will live after the body is gone. YOU can Deny it,you can pull a veil between you and it,so you can not see it but it sees you all the time.because it is who you really are. What is your ambition? would you hide it from GOD? if so maybe you should change ambitions. if it is acceptable to God then ask God and your soul to help you in your ambition. we should always take God with us into whatever we do,it will greatly alter the outcome.

Your soul is what keeps you from being an animal. Sounds like you are having a Scrooge moment. You can spend your life satisfying yourself and die alone and unsatisfied or you can care for others and live a life worth living. Animals do walk among us--serial killers, rapists, unprincipled people in positions of power, and so on. What do you want to be? Why? If you died tomorrow who would miss you? Souls are missed, ambitions forgotten, animals feared and hated. Time to choose.

Sorry Kev You can't get rid of it. It will dutiful go into hibernation while you waist your time chasing the tail you call ambition.

Still it will be right there to help you when you finally realize that it is a waist of your time.

This is not a bad thing. This is actually the way the universe is supposed to work.

Have fun with your tail. Pay attention to how it always stays just out of reach.

When you grow tired of this game turn inward where the truth awaits.

love and blessings Don

For better or worse, you are your soul; though at times you may seem disconnected with higher levels of your spirit given circumstances in your life, ambition and aspirations certainly do not 'kill' the soul.

Action, joy and breadth of self are notions of light and life, while stagnance, hate and sheltered experience are trappings of darkness and entropy.

Rest assured, though your soul may grow stronger or weaker over time; it will not die unless you are dead and fully darkened.

Pace. Pray. Love. Life is too short. Don't forget about those that love you. Your job, career can always grow at a good pace if you take control of it....don't let it take you over. Make a firm decision that you will not allow your job/career to interfere with your family needs. Pace. Pray. Love.

You only lose your soul after death, so if you purge your self of it, then you will die.

There is no such thing as souls. Such pretentious beliefs only lead to more destruction of the mind.

You have a soul. It is not your choice to choose.

Kinda like saying you don't have a heart pumping blood in your body.

You can not choose not to have one. You are born with one.
