Hi Mark. I had a 9 year old Siberian Husky that one day developed a severe nose bleed. He was my baby, I was panicked and worried, drove him to my vet on a Sunday. My vet did some tests and it turned out he had a cancer called Hemangio Sarcoma. It causes the blood to thin out and the dog to get week. It is not treatable and they only usually live about 6 months after diagnosis. Anyways, my vet kept my baby, put him on IV fluids, and meds. He refused to eat for about 1 week before he started to feel somewhat better and then he started eating. I work at my vets office, so I got to be the one treating him and let me tell you, it is not easy seeing your dog lying there in pain. Needless to say, I was going to have him euthanized to stop his agony, but when I went to work that morning, he had died during the night (my vet had given him a painkiller, so he wasn't in pain anymore). Hardest thing I've ever had to see.

Another disease that causes nose bleeds is a tick-bourne disease. I can't remeber the name of it, but I know your vet will give your dog a vitamin K injection if that's what is wrong w/ him. You really do need to take your dog to the vet. If his nose bleeds enough, he could die from blood loss.

If your dog was poisoned a few days ago, he more than likely would not be alive right now. I don't think that is what is wrong w/ him.

Your dog hasn't ate in 5 days and you haven't took it to a vet along with a nose bleed?????? I feel sorry for your dog. That is just irresponsible. I would never let any of my Shepherd suffer like that a dog is a life long commitment and they need more care the older they get. I just hope that when you are old your family thinks more of you than to let you lay around and suffer and take you to the doctor.

Yes, but first call an emergncy vet, and let them know whats happened. My dog was poisoned when it was a puppy. Over the phone the vet told me to administer hydrogen peroxide evrry fifteen minutes to induce vomiting, about a tablespoon. I used an eyedropper. BUT FIRST CALL THE VET!!!

I dont understand why people seem to avoid going to the vet. If you are not responsible enough to take your animal to the vet when attention is required, you should not be a pet owner.
Your dog needs to see a vet.

WHAT THE HELLS WRONG WITH YOU? IF HIS TEETH ARE STILL IN GOOD SHAPE AND YOUR FEEDING DRY FOOD, GET OFF YOUR BUT AND GET TO A VET. BUT THAT WON'T EXPLAIN THE BLOODY NOSE. THIS DOG HAS STOOD BY YOU HIS WHOLE LIFE RIGHT? TAKE CARE OF HIM THE SAME AS HE'S TAKEN CARE OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please get your pet some help. If you love him, you don't want to see him suffer or worse. Act now while there is time. Your pet depends on you! Please don't let him down. Would you let a human go through this and not get help? My heart is breaking to hear that this is happening. For all the times that he came to you, wagged his tail at the sight of you and was so happy to see you no matter what, please LOVE him enough to get him help so he doesn't suffer.
