We went out on a couple of dates. He was leaving town for good and I felt like I may never see him again. We both went for it. He said he would like to see me again, he lives 4 hours away. Was it wrong, it sure didn't feel wrong. He emailed me to let me know he got home okay. He told me that was not his intention with me although it felt good too.

Here is my rules:

1. Get to know that person

2. Make sure they are disease free

3. Actually be in a relationship with that person

4. About 4 or 5 months is a good length to make them wait

Unless you have a medical condition that requires "going for it", then I agree with Pathfinder for all the reasons stated. Have you not heard that everything that may "feel good" may not always be good for you? That is the fast-food mentality that we have in this country. Gotta have it, and gotta have it now, and anyone suggesting anything different is crazy and somehow outside the mainstream way of thinking.

You ask because you have nagging doubts. Those nagging doubts are telling you it is wrong. It is your conscience. I read the other day that the standard of right and wrong is hard wired into us according to a scientist. He was verifying an observable truth. I have listened to well paid new age gurus spout off that there is no right and wrong until someone denigrates them effectively. Then they call for justice, belying their assertion that there is no right and wrong. Amazingly, they never catch the hypocrisy.

It doesn't sound like a mistake to me.

It sounds like the two of you have made a good connection.
Try not to waste too much time dwelling on the past
- it can't be undone
- look ahead at making memories beyond regret.

Good luck, good love!

YIKES! Talk about a going away present? Hmmmm. Well, let's put it this way...it's over and done. You can't change what occured. In the future, keep the mattress aerobics to someone who you deeply love and is going to be sticking around :)

Don't be surprised if you don't hear from him again. Although you may get a booty call. If it's worth it to you, go for it. Only you can answer that question.
