firstly, it helps if you know the true reason why he broke up with you, otherwise you will waste time trying to think "what is wrong with me/why doesn't he want me?"
that seems to be the most painful part.
what you need to concentrate on are the things about yourself that you are proud of and show them off a bit more (physically, mentally or emotionally) and chances are that because you feel better about yourself, loosing him will be painful, but easier to manage.
people change a lot with different phases of their lives and the last thing you ever allow them to do is get the better of you. it is always a put down when someone leaves but you HAVE to be confident enough to think - well, everything for a reason.

hope this helps x x you'll be fine! x

Ouch! That's painful. Hopefully you've got a great network of friends. If not, set about making one!

Do all the things you couldn't or wouldn't do because of your ex and DO THEM.

Get a new image, plan a trip, shake up your world a bit.

You need novelty and some forward-thinking in your life so you don't dwell.

A great book is "It's called a break-up because it's broken - a smart girl's break-up buddy". See below:-

Honestly, Time....you just have to give it time. I know it's easier said than done. But it's also a time for reflection on oneself. Think of ways to do things for yourself like go to the salon and treat yourself to a hair makeover....

I would hang out with friends and family. Reconnect with old friends and just live life.

Whenever I'm having a hard time with life, it reminds me of the All American Rejects song, Move Along...maybe you're familiar with it. It basically says when you're down, you have to move along cuz life doesn't wait for you to get back on your feet. I wish you the best. Hang in there..

Lots and lots of time. Always smile when you see him then he will always wonder what you are smiling about.
And if you were married remember when a man marries his mistress he creates a vaccancy! Though you are probably feeling to raw to find that amusing at the moment and if it upsets you Im sorry. Things will get better eventually.

I split up with my ex boyfriend three months ago and to be honest i am still trying to get over it as i am still in love with him.
When we broke up 3 months ago it was pain full but it is a lot easier now,
Keep yourself busy, surround your self with friends and family, go out and meet new people. I have just started to see someone else and he knows how i feel as i have been honest with him.
Perhaps when you meet someone else just take it slow,
I hope that this gets easier for you, the hurt and pain is still there but it does get a lot easier to get through the day.
good luck

The first couple of days will be the hardest b/c you can't help but think about all his good qualities.

After a few tears, you will become angry that he caused you to feel this way.

Stay busy and keep your mind occupied, eventually you will not think much about him at all.

get some sweet smelling candles and light then all over your bathroom. fill your tub with jasmine scented petals and hot/warm soothing water. unplug your phone and everything that makes noise/ then you can get some book that you like and read it while sitting in their. after the water cools, get out and blow off the candles. after that youll feel relaxed, refreshed and calm.
