dredge chicken in flour then deep fry - then toss with butter and buffalo wing sauce - use sparingly for a mild flavor - the less sauce you use, the weaker the taste.
in my experience, 3&4 year olds prefer dipping sauces instead of chicken covered in the spicy sauce. The buffalo sauce may be too spicy for the little ones.

A friend of mine gave me a recipe for hot wings that are not fried but baked they are delicious. Note the recipe has changed over the years but here is the one I make now it really is good. You need chicken wings I leave them whole. In a pot combine half a stick of butter, 1 whole bottle "La Victoria" salsa brava hot, 2 packages "Good Seasons" Italian flavor salad dressing, and the juice of 1 lemon or lime. When butter is melted dip the wings into the sauce and arrange on baking pan. Bake at 350 for an hour or till done. Hope you like them

buy a large pack of chicken wings, and a bottle of texas pete buffalo bbq sauce, preheat oven to 350 deg. place wings on shallow pan cover with sauce bake for one hour, adjust oven temp. down to 250 degrees and cook for 45 min....they are not too hot and taste great ps. its great to serve with rolls... You dont have to use the whole bottle of sauce on wings either just make sure they are covered
