it all depends on who broke up with who, and how you left the relationship between you. if you broke up with him and you are still friends, then maybe he thins it's a little akward to be talking to you. you should talk to him to show him that nothing has changed between you two and that you still are friends

As a man, I've had the same experience with women. It seems like, given that the romantic spark is not going both ways, it is now too awkward for the person who doesn't have those feelings to be around the one who does. In rare occassions, I have been able to talk through this situation with her and we have been able to be honest with each other. That takes a lot of maturity for both people. The trend, though, seems to be that once you have broken up with someone, the relationship itself is "broken" and the assumption is that there is no need or desire to fix it.

It's a guy thing. They try to show off in front of their friends. Find a better one. Those kind aren't worth the trouble.

most guys dont fel the need to remain friends with their exs cos they already have their own friends, guy friends they can drink and talk sport with. there is no point to remainin friends. he filled some other need he had. the need for intimacy he doesnt get from his friend. so when that over, there is no point staying friends with you.

im not sure. if he really liked you maybe it hurts him to see you. ive been with the same girl forever so i dont have much experience. but if we ever broke up, id do everything i could to keep her in my life. we were friends first, and now shes my best friend.
