Getting your dog to answer the phone is no problem, but they are terrible at taking down messages.

I brought my enormous mutt to work today.... she starts barking as soon as the phone rings. People call up to get an ambulance and my dog barks at them. "I am having a heart attack! Woof, woof, woof! Sorry, wrong number!"
