place tin foil around the edges of the pie crust - this will prevent burning while the rest bakes. about 10 min before the pie comes out, remove the tin foil so it can brown slightly as well.

You can take a thin (1/2-1 inch wide) long strip of aluminum foil. Place the foil around just the edge of your crust and leave it on during while you're baking the pie. Remove the foil a few minutes before the pie is done baking so the edges can brown.

if it is just the edges, cover with foil, and you can buy things that are made to fit the edges for that purpose. also if the whole crust is getting too brown before the pie is done, cover with foil until about the last 10 ar 15 minutes of the baking time

take a sheet of tinfoil in the size of the pie plate, fold in half and cut out half moon shape, leaving 1/2" - 1" in diameter around edge, unfold and cover pie 1/2 way through baking. the foil will cover just the pie edge protecting it from burning.

Prebake the pie crust, because most pies cook faster than the crust.

Cut about a 3 inch wide piece of aluminum foil and put it around the crust....This'll keep it from burning.......
Also baste with butter before hand.....
