1. Many people do this just to get points and have probably never given a sincere answer. Pathetic!!
2. Some people are just mean spirited.
3. I think some people are actually trying to be helpful but don't know how to do it in a constructive way.

Because those people who insult others have nothing better to do with their time, and they have a bad attitude. If they have such an attitude online they certainly won't get far in real life.

If it is obvious that a questioner really wants help I attempt to give appropriate answers, but if the question is clearly meant to insult or inflame others, then I give back exactly what they are giving.
But, that's just me. I cannot speak for others.

Unfortunately the answer to your question is absolutely, some people I believe live to be insulting and rude. And they find great joy and pleasure in doing so. My thought is they must be very miserable human beings. God bless

I agree, it is NOT kind or nice to hurt those who need help on this site for some this site is the only friend they have.

I agree, but it also depends on what the question is. For instance, find a question called: Why did my mother cry the first time we made love? --> asked by lke. Like you just can't answer the question without insulting him cause it's absolutely ridiculous.

I always try to answer with honesty and sincerity. I agree that some go out of their way to be obnoxious and rude, but it seems to be, mostly, the same individuals. Quite possibly they are the same way in their lives off-line, too. Too bad there's not an "abuse" button in the "real world"! LOL

I am not sure, but maybe they are just unhappy in life... Personally, if given a chance to help someone - I opt to help.
Stay positive in live, be a good influence in others and it will come back to you 10 fold...

Cause some people have huge ego's and hate being wrong...
Also some people think they are more superior then others... so they just insult people who they think are "stupid"... but in fact they are the one's who're stupid for stepping so low...

I completely agree! I answered a question and got many flaming e-mails. My answer was innocent, non-offensive and true and because I wasn't immigrant bashing like the rest of the folks I got jumped. By the way, eventually my answer got voted as best. LOL
