Well, if you are going to place your answer on what you read in that bible verse just remember that the first line in that timothy verse stated "women adorn themselves in MODEST APPAREL"....thus a simple wedding band is indeed modest. Adorning ones body with gold pearls or costly array would seem to me to be interpreted as an overabundance of gold dangling from oneself...not a simple wedding band. Make sense? Remember....the bible is a version a guide of God's talkings but always remember there is possibilities of differences with interpretations. If your wife wears her wedding band as the symbol that it represents....a continous union...then she is doing proud in God's eyes. I do believe. Hope you can see it that way too.

Yes it is OK for you & your wife to wear a wedding band, Many times people take a scripture & really don't know what it is REALLY talking about, There is nothing wrong with a woman wearing a wedding band, nor a necklace, nor a bracelet, That scripture you quoted means that woman are not to put on too much Jewelry to make her look like a Jezzebel, Do Not go to the extreme. I don't go for woman wearing all this eye color stuff or color lipstick or big ear-rings.

I am sure that St. Paul never meant to say that women should not wear wedding rings. Most probably the custom didn't even exist back then. He was most likely cautioning against excess. Go ahead and let your wife wear her wedding ring if you love her.

Most men and women wear their wedding rings. So this would be a matter of choice. It is a visible symbol that one is a married man or woman. God bless

Your wife is free to follow her conscience, and interpret the scriptures, prayerfully, as she is enlightened.....Unless of course, you're just looking for someone to make all the decisions for you, in which case there are other religions (or sects) that will be happy to accomodate you. (;p) Christianity, at its best, requires alot of soul-searching, not alot of mindless rule-following.

Hoping the best for you...

The idea here is to not try to look wealthy. A Hummer is not a practical vehicle. It is a display of wealth. The answer would be. Is it a token of your marriage or a display of wealth?

May GOD richly bless you.

Yes, she should wear it. I think Paul meant in excess, and back then the women who wore such things were not followers of Christ.
But most importantly...remember this...
while we should strive to live holy one must remember it is IMPOSSIBLE. We must have Jesus. Worry about such matters is trying to get by with good works intead of salvation and grace.
Instead, we must be busy about the Father's Business before His return.
God Bless

I know the scripture and yes your wife should wear her wedding ring and any other jewelry you have given to her.

That scripture applies to those woman who put their faith in their appearance.

I like jewelry and I am married but I realize my beauty comes from God and from within myself.

I think you should pray about it. My husband and I personally don't wear them, but it is something that my husband has a conviction on. I don't think wearing one is a sin, it serves a purpose. But I'm assuming maybe this is something God has laid on your heart since you are asking about it.
