Peel some potatoes, cut up some carrots, and chop one onion, place roast beef on top. Take one package of dry onion soup mix and combine with a can of cream of mushroom soup and pour over meat and veggies. Makes a wonderful gravy. Cook on high about six hours or low about 8 hrs. Yummy!

If you want to make something good. Forget about "IN A JIFFY"
Just go to the golden arches instead and get a $1 double cheeseburger instead.
If you have time (3 hours at least then make this)
Get some meat, large cheap pices of beef, Bottom round usually. Whatever is on sale.
Cut it into 1 inch cubes.
put some olive oil in the pan and brown them, quickly,
add 1 can of muir gleen crushed tomatoes and water
Carrots, celery, onions, potatoes
a handful of barley
Spices: be creative, spicy, but not to spicy, reduce spices for kids or old people
cayeene pepper
black pepper salt
bay leaves
turmeric
garlic
all those Simon and Garfunkle spices
paprika
spice it how YOU like it, if you don't know about spices be stingy with them
boil slowly for at least 2 hours, keep any bones also in the soup for flavor and calcium, maybe add a teaspoon of vinegar to help get the calcium if you are aging and female

I've got a great one.
2 lbs. beef stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
1/2 cup flour
2 tbs. oil
1 bay leaf
1 tbs, Worchestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 cup beef bouillon
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
6 carrots, peeld and sliced
1 cup sliced celery
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into eighths
12 small white onions
4 cups water
1 cup cooked okra (optional)
Coat meat with flour, ser excess four aside. In large skillet or crockpot with brownin unit, heat oil. Brown meat on all sides. In slow cooker combine browned beef, bay leaf, Worchestersire sauce, onion, bouillon, salt, pepper, sugar and vegetables. Pour water over all. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Turn control on high. Thicken with flour left over from coating (about 1/4 cup) dissolved in a small amount of water. Add okra if desired. Cover and cook on high 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened. Makes 6-8 servings, and my family and I think it is the best beef stew ever! Warm regards.
