I always recommend that you get your drivers from the manufacturer of the hardware or software. They know their product better, and will usually provided the best & the safest
driver possible.
But you can always check out the following cool sites:

Microsoft.com - it is probably the safest, otherwise load up my computer, then go into the device manager and find what drivers you want to update!
I recomend that you do not update if they work, updating unnecesarily can cause problems!! As the old saying goes "if it aint broke, dont fix it" - in this situation it is the best answer!!
Updating drivers that already work does not do your comptuer any good and can leave you without your monitor working, sound card needing to be changed... i have had bad experience with drivers in the past messing up and i am happy keeping the old if they work.

For drivers, www.driverguide.com is great.
For software, freeware, shareware, www.download.com and www.tucows.com are good bets.
Also, if you're looking for specific drivers, the first port of call should be the manufacturer's website (ie: www.hp.com) and find their support/download page.

microsoft windows update for the scan. if they don't have them got to.

they have a huge library of device drivers free. you just have to get a free membership. they don't send spam or share you e-mail addy. i use it all thetime and have had no problems.
