how do you use the ny subway?

you buy a passput in in the turn style and wow you are in , then you follow the signs to the subway you need they are colored coded and have letters you can ask at the center of the platform from the conductor for infro

1) Find the nearest one to you.
2) Decide where you want to go.
3) Look up the maps provided to find out which train you need to catch.
4) Buy appropriate ticket(s).
5) Go through turnstile, and follow signs for directions to the correct platform to catch required train.
6) Wait for train to arrive.
7) When train arrives, enter train through doors. Beware of people already on board, and find seats if available. Sit on seat. If none available, stand and find appropriate fixed object such as rails to hold on to.
8) Stay on train and watch out for your stop. When train reaches stop, leave the train via the doors.
9) Find exit signs to leave the station, follow signs.

metro cards are $2- each for a one way trip.... u can get deals and cards that are good for the whole day also.. or a whole month... you just grab a map and jump on the train with the flashing sign, you'll figure it out =)
