exactly 16. My cousin offered to work at Starbuck but they rejected even though she was about to turn 16. That might help you out.

It really depends on which country you are at. Generally it has to do with the local labor laws eg. the minimum allowable working age.
Where I'm at, we are allowed to accept applicants who are 16 years old and above but due to certain issues like commitment etc, we prefer to employ high school graduates and above ie. 18 years and above.
