The US is a very generous country. The problem is that many poor countries do not have the transportation systems to distribute available food to those who are starving. I remember seeing pictures years ago of huge piles of grain from the US that were rotting at local depots in famine-ridden Chad. The local government could not (or would not) distribute the grain to the interior of the country where it was desparately needed. Violent civil wars and tribal-like disputes keep much of the under- developed world poor and hungry.

Sometimes it seems that the love, like the food, is there, but just can't reach the ones who need it the most.

Hoping the best for you...

Agreed this is a huge problem. There is not enough love to solve it. I would like to go get the people who do not have enough food and bring them to the food. But the U.S. government would arrest them and deport them back to where there is no food. But then we are made up of immigrants so isn't that a bit on the wrong side? Oh well. So for now we will bring food to them when we can :(
May GOD richly bless you.

Does that make sense?

There may not always be enough food for people but there is always plenty of love from Jesus who is ready to take away sins and give you a better life in the world to come.

There is actually enough food in the world for everyone, it's just that rich countries do not distribute it out evenly, countries such as ours have enormous stock piles of grain, that could be shared around poor countries and keep everyone fed.

Good question.

People are selfish by nature. I think if they SAW a starving person, they would share food. Since the starving people are removed from them, culturally and physcially, they feel less responsible.

Because lack of education means people don't understand what is being said. What world of love?
