God draws near to us before we ever draw near to him. If God didn't draw near to us first, we would never be saved. In order for us to recognize our stubborn human ways and that we are sinful, God must convict our hearts; therefore, drawing near to us. I don't know what you're going through to ask this question, but God loves you very much, so much in fact that his only son died for you and God has your every move planned out for you, all you have to do is trust Him and follow His will.

Always, remember the story of the "Footprints": This man had a dream one night that he was walking on a beach seeing the years of his life with footprints in the sand running through each year. The man noticed that at times, there was one pair of footprints and at times there were two pairs of footprints. The man also noticed that during his hardest times, there was only one pair of footprints. The man thought this was very unusual, so in his dream, he asked God why, at the hardest times in his life, there was only one set of footprints, when God told us he would never leave us. God replied, "My son, when you were in your hardest times and you thought you could walk no more, it is then that I carried you." During our toughest times, God doesn't run from us, He carries us through it and is just waiting for us to ask Him for help.

It does not set out to behold the love of His Face.

You'll know, believe me. If you want to know God, TRULY want to know Him, then He'll respond. God doesn't say: "draw this far to Me, and I'll draw near to you," He just says to draw near. God will not turn you away if you truly seek Him.

I agree ... prayer always works. Through your own heart, and through love, ask God to connect with you. Ask Him to fill your Heart with His Divine Love. And keep asking, until you feel His Presence in your Heart. When you feel this, you will know.

Golden Blessings of Love on your Journey!
