I have a 14 year old living above me who speaks to me on rare occasion in friendly way. I have trash in my yard which consist of shampoo bottles.
The message I am getting is : I am a 14 girl prima donna who is all that and you are a 40 yr old nothing who can pick up my trash..
I would like to bag up the trash and put it on their door or invite both the mother and her to come pick up the trash I provide the trash bag. Any ideas?

Ok, even though you didn't say so, I am assuming you rent. Talk to the owner or manager about the problem, the manager can approach these people and say something along the lines of "the trash in the yard is unacceptable, and after investigation, the man downstairs does not even use that brand of shampoo, so I expect it cleaned up (give time frame) and not to occur again".
Putting it on their door will only invite hostility and get your tires slashed.
Speaking directly to them will only invite hostility and they obviously don't care in the first place, or the trash wouldn't be there.
Talking to the owner/manager is the only other option I see, besides continuing to suck it up and pick it up while fuming over this garbage.

If this is the trash of the 14 year old, i would knock on their door with some trash bags and tell them, here I brought these for you I assume you did not have any and that is why your garbage is all over the yard. Thank you ! And leave it like that, it this does not resolve the issue I would go to management. That is pathetic to leave trash laying around. This is not complaining, her behaviors are just sad, lazy and pathetic. And she needs to pick up her trash, I wonder what the horrors are inside of the house. Oh my, one can only imagine. Good luck and God bless

you know what... you should get a couple of neighbours to join in the fun.... whenever the girl's mom is around, you and yr neighbours start wondering how those shampoo bottles ended up on yr yard.... emphasise on the BRAND of the shampoo... then invite her to join yr conversation or just ask her if she knew anyone who uses that much shampoo... if it works, she'll feel embarassed and tell that to her daughter....

if it doesn't work, tape a note on the trash bag saying "this trash belongs to ______. Please pick up after me because I am a 14 girl prima donna who is all that and you are a 40 yr old nothing who can pick up my trash". if this doesn't embarass them, then just dump the trash in front of their door. muahahahahaha

this is the best (and the funniest) way to do it cuz it doesn't involve any awkward-ness when confronting them.... besides, it could prevent them from denying it and screaming at you... you know how these ppl can be

gd luck!!

Is she throwing empty shampoo bottles out her window? If you know this for a fact, you should bag up the bottle trash and deliver it to her, saying they must have fallen out of her window and perhaps she should be more careful so it doesn't happen again. If that doesn't work, talk to her mother.

Have you spoken to the Landlord of the place in which you live?
I would submit a complaint in writing to both parties, the residence and the landlord.
I would speak to the girls mother. I hate to say this but they might just be trashy people and if you want the yard to remain clean you may have to clean it yourself.
That really sucks for you to have to live like that. I don't understand how people just don't care.

Who's the landlord here? Trashing the yard if not acceptable. Let the landlord know.

hang a trash bag on their door with a note that reads "I've noticed your trash all over the yard so I figured you ran out of trash bags and since I had one to spare I thought I'd help you out by giving it to you." ;o)

Um, I'm lost. Did the 14 year old leave the shampoo bottles? If she did, then just throw them back into their yard.

Maybe you could ask the mother if she knows who is trashing the yard.

Try talking to them first...I know we all like to react in some creative way..but talking to people first can solve alot. Then if things don't work out that way, pee inside the shampoo bottles and then put it on their front doorstep.
