The names I picked for our baby before we knew whether it is a boy or girl are: Matthew Robert and Elizabeth Lynn. We picked the middle name to honor our parents. My dad name is Robert and my mother-in-law was Linda. Her nick name was Lynn. (My husband's mom passed away 3 years ago). Since we had a boy Matthew Robert won out. Do you have anyone special in your family that you would like to honor? Grandparents? A special aunt? My cousin named her baby after our great-grandmother Madeline. She calls her Maddie. Everyone in the family thought that was very sweet. Good luck with your new sibling.

I agree that somewhere in a child's name there should be a little family history. My daughter has my mothers middle name. And my husbands family and myself are all into hunting, so our son is named Hunter Lane(after Lane Frost). I guess it all depends on how close you are to your family also.

My son is named after his Nana and dad Joseph Michael. Nana's name is Josephine. My daughter was named after her great grandma. Her name is Vera Mekay. Try a combination of family names.

I looked to my family and gave my child a unique first name - to our family - and a common middle name to both the father's side and my side as well. I chose Alexander James and Sierra Mai (pronounced May)

I wanted to give my son a strong name and something not different so his name is James Joseph. My daughter I wanted something girlie but also something that she could have nick names too. Her name is Alexis Jasmine. Different people call her different names Lexi, Alex, Lexis, and I call her Lexi J.

naming is a crime parents should know, a child, need not be punished from the given names. they were born not wanting to be named with the followings;

* weird sounding names
* difficult to pronounce
* several words to write only to be shortened by its initials
* funny names and so on.

"two to three letter names" should be given to a child, if we want them to be convinient. in school or everywhere, they should not be at the mercy of difficulties and of those difficult people.
