Call the art league in your county, ask them about shows. The place you buy your supplies should know about shows, too.

Most self-taught artists never become successful in the art world. Sorry, but that's the truth. I say 'successful' rather than 'discovered' because being 'discovered' implies that your work is good but no one knows about you yet. MOST self-taught artists do not produce work of a high enough quality to merit discovery. Your choices are to either get some formal teaching and improve your craft, or if you really think you're good enough with that, get the work professionally photographed and start submitting it to galleries. Art fairs, local competitions, charity auctions, Ebay...NONE of those will get you 'discovered'. Only galleries can do that.

You can always exhibit your works as well as actually selling them at local art and craft shows usually upon paying a small fee for exhibiting them.

If possible, join an Art Center that holds art shows and make yourself known accordingly.

Does your community allow you to have "Garage Sales"?
If it does - you can always throw in some of your work to sell as well as display.

Good Luck!

Try google search this site artfaceoff.com sorry I couldn't put it in link form. Or you could approach your local gallery and ask them for advise on professionally presenting your work to gallery's in portfolio form. Go for it. Sometimes I wish I never went to college might have some success if I hadn't. Instead of being told that you aren't good enough all the time you get to enjoy what you do. Start small and work upwards.

it extremely is obviously a case of freedom of expression. i'm so unwell of persons keeping instructors to three style of "greater common". They took no oath of ethical superiority. They have been placed by a similar crappy college gadget and stated via a similar defective parenting as each and every physique else. Why assume them to be any distinctive, much less greater useful, than the the remainder of society? in keeping with possibility intellectually they seem to be somewhat smarter and greater useful knowledgeable than many human beings, yet morally, no. What any regulation-abiding guy or woman does on his very own time is his very own business enterprise. enable him save his interest.

Send samples of your work to a gallery or organise your own exhibition.

Most towns have an art shop or Art classes at college. Take some of your works to either and ask their opinion. If its good or bad they will tell you either way.
